Bella Hadid Joins Metaverse With NFT Collection Bella Hadid Joins Metaverse With NFT Collection

American model Bella Hadid has debuted in the metaverse with CY-B3LLA, a non-fungible token (NFT) collection. The collection features artwork based on 3-D scans of his face and body. Bella has revealed on her Instagram account that she has created NFTs to encourage travel, community, fantasy and socializing.

In an interview with Reuters, Bella said that she wanted to create attractive versions of herself after taking a huge liking to video games during the lockdown due to Corona. He said it was a lot of fun. He has 11,111 NFTs in his collection which have been created in collaboration with the NFT platform reBASE. For these, the help of local artists has been taken. The date of sale of these NFTs has not been given but interested buyers can register online for the same. This collection is likely to get good response from the buyers.

Using blockchain technology in NFTs, tokens of unique items are authenticated which are linked to reproducible digital assets. These can include art, music, in-game items, and videos. These can be traded online but cannot be duplicated. There has also been an increase in the cases of scams related to them. In some such cases, NFT buyers have suffered huge losses. In a recent case with NFT token registration platform Premint, hackers stole about 320 NFTs and sold them on NFT marketplaces like OpenSea for around $400,000. This is one of the major hacks attacks in the blockchain industry this year.

The attacker had put a forged JavaScript code on its website. A pop-up was then created asking users to confirm the ownership of their wallet, offering them additional security. Due to this, many users were scammed within a few minutes. After the scam was discovered, many users had alerted other users by giving warnings on Twitter. Hackers stole popular NFT series like Bored Ape Yacht Club, Otherside and Oddities.
